Update May 17th, 2023

Today I fixed a couple of bugs, added a few new programs, and added a bit of functionality.
When a user joins one of the programs that are being promoted, the promoter will now
get a confirmation email that has occurred, plus a small red circle with the number of
opened or credit requested transactions will appear.

Update March 22, 2023

Hi everyone I've had a bit of time away for some personal reasons, but
I'm back and ready to get back at it!
I found a bug that allowed under certain circumstances for a transaction to enter
a null state, I think I've squashed it now and I removed a couple bad transactions.
Also I approved a couple different sites to be promoted, one was VieFaucet.com

Update January 10, 2023 ** New Functionality!

Today I released the biggest update yet for the new site.
The join program / transaction portion of GetRef.com is up and running.
This will allow users to join different programs under other GetRef users, and
request credit from the user promoting the program.
Please give the new functionality a try, and send any
suggestions or bugs you find to GetRef@hotmail.com.
I'm watching this section of the site closely and fixing things on the fly.
Any bugs found will be rewarded with GetRef credits.
Thanks for sticking with us, I have more exiting features on the horizon!

Update December 16, 2022

I have been diligently plugging away on writing the transaction portion of GetRef.com
It's taking longer than I anticipated, mainly because as an earn request proceeds through the
different stages, I'm taking care to write logic that will discourage malicious users from
trying to tamper with the transaction process, and report to me when suspicous activity occurs.
I really want to make sure that I do this correctly, so I'd rather take a bit longer and do it right
than rush it out with issues. Stay with me folks it's coming soon!

Update October 14th, 2022

Real life decided to step in the last month and I was not able to work much on GetRef.com
I am reaching the end of a real life project that is taking a lot of my time, I am hoping to
finish building the join program portion of the site within a couple weeks.

Update September 1st, 2022

I added a few new pages that take what you invested in the recruit section, and provide the interface
for earners that might be interested in joining the program. All previous GetRef.com users
will have their users rating carried forward from the old version of the site.
I am looking for feedback on these pages please, things that make them hard to use or bugs that you might find.
I do pay credits for bugs found, so please feel free to find me some.

Work continues
Recruit page looks solid, thanks for the feedback
I'm building the earning half of the user program stuff now, the logic behind it is tricky and
requires me to take time with it. I want to make sure it's done right. I'm not sure how much longer
until users can join your program, but I think we are in the 2 - 3 week range.
Make sure you login and get your daily check in credits.
The Secret of the Wall exposed!
A. You can only post to the wall once every 15 minutes
B. Every time you post, there is 50% chance you will be awarded a credit.
C. Percentage chance of credit diminishes after you given your first reward.

You can now add your program to the GetRef.com database
Testing is going well on the recruit page. So I added a button and some functionality for adding a program to GetRef.com
Once you login, go to recruit, and then click on the Add Program button.
If you dont see the program you wish to promote in the list, you can help me test the add program
functionality now by submitting a request to add a new program.

Recruit page first beta is done
The recruit page is set up and ready for testing. You can ONLY set up the program, recruits will not start joining it yet,
that is coming soon. If you have any programs that you would like to see added so that when the recruits start joining you
will be prepared to start getting them, then please send me an email at getref@hotmail.com with the program, and an example referral
url for the program.
Also if you have any comments about bugs you might find in the recruit page, please send me an email and describe it.

SSL Encryption Added, Recruit page started
I added SSL Encryption to the site, https://getref.com now works!
I've also started work on the Recruit page. I'm not sure how long this will take but just wanted to let
everyone know that it has started. Keep logging in every day and get your free credits, these will be very
valuable once the site functionality is released, and there's no guarantee the free credits will always be available.

Update July 13th, 2022

Reset Password finished
Took a short one week vacation out in Seattle to watch my blue jays get beat 4 in a row by the Mariners.
Now that that is over, sigh, I'm back at work. Just got the reset password functionality working on the login page.
Let me know if there are any issues. GetRef is coming back slowly, but methodically, I hope to have a new feature or two
added within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

Update June 27th, 2022

Daily check-in for credits now levels up!!
The reward that you get for checking in will now level up based upon the number of users who check-in on the previous day.
Every time someone checks in, GetRef.com counts that person, and the following day's reward is based on that number.
Refer people to GetRef.com using your referral link, and check in daily. I'm working on a number of features and instead of
one big reveal, so I'll be releasing each feature as I create it. Things will happen fast here so don't blink!

Register and restore old GetRef.com account is now active!
Restore your legacy GetRef.com account by clicking the signup button at the top right, and then follow the cues.
If GetRef doesn't find your old email address, you'll need to register with a new email address.

I Created GetRef.com back in 2003 using classic asp technology, it did a lot better than I ever thought possible and it grew way bigger than I ever thought possible.
Over the last 20 years I've built many sites, many other things, however I always continued to think about my first big successful site, GetRef.com.
I am about 200 hours into the rebuild of GetRef.com. I have a vision for this site that will hopefully bring GetRef back to relevance.
I originally planned on releasing after I had finished the entire site, however my old hosting site decided to fast track the issue for me by freezing my account.
So the new plan is that, I plan on releasing things as I go, so you will be able to come along with this rebuild journey with me. Soon I will release the registration portion of the site. You will be able to bring forward your old GetRef account.
For the people that have stuck with me over the years, thank you so much for being here. If I didn't have the few long timers that have kept the site alive over the years, I wouldn't be doing this rewrite.
